No, in fact the nursing facility will save time and money by not needing to transport residents. The facility will also protect itself from potential liability of accidents occuring during the transit of residents.

How soon can we expect services to begin once we have contracted with Senior Healthcare?

How much notification do you give for scheduling?
For most services we schedule 4-6 weeks in advance so as not to interfere with other appointments.
Does Senior Healthcare send transport assistants with the providers?
Some of our providers have assistants they bring with them to assist in completing documentation etc...
We require someone from the facility to transport and identify the residents for liability purposes.
How does the facility need to prepare for the visits?
Our Client Services Representative will walk you through the simple process.
Is there any cost to the resident?
Senior Healthcare Associates will bill Medicare, Medicaid and any other supplemental insurances that the residents' are enrolled in. If the resident chooses a plan that has a co-pay we must send a bill for that co-pay.
Will you come for just one resident if missed in the original visit?
We do our best to accommodate these situations.
Do we have to take all of your services?
No - the facility may choose which services they would like to offer their residents.
Is there an annual charge to enroll our facility with Senior Healthcare Associates?
No, there is no hidden charges or fees to the facility or resident.
Does Senior Healthcare use local providers?
Most of our providers reside nearby the facilities they service and we do our best to send the same provider each time.
How often can the residents have ear exams/cerumen removal?
Approximately every six months.
How often can the residents have their eyes examined?
Annually unless other medical conditions arise.
How often can the residents have podiatry services?
Approximately every 2-3 months.
Does Medicaid cover diabetic shoes?
Only Ohio residents qualify at this time.
How many pairs of shoes can I receive per year?
One pair of diabetic shoes and three pairs of inserts per calendar year.
Will Medicare pay for all of the cost of the shoes and inserts?
Medicare covers 80% of the cost and most secondary insurances pay the remaining 20% balance.
Will we receive our shoes and inserts the same day as our appointment?
Most likely. We carry a large stock of shoes in our vans to accommodate everyone's needs. If a shoe is not available that you would like we can special order.
Does the dentist accept Medical Assistance?
Yes
